Questions
Which cars does TORBO work with?
TORBO is built and tested on the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y. In SIM mode the app works without a car.
Can people outside hear it?
No. TORBO plays through your car's audio system, inside the cabin.
Does TORBO change how my car drives?
No. The app and the Node only read data from your car. The Node is listen-only on the CAN bus. The only exception is automatic regen switching, which you turn on yourself and which uses the S3XY Commander.
Do I need the TORBO Node?
No, but you will feel the difference. With the S3XY Commander the data reaches the app over Wi-Fi, with a delay of 1 to 1.5 seconds between your foot and the sound. The Node reads the CAN bus itself and sends it over Bluetooth in under 300 ms, so the engine reacts the moment you touch the pedal.
Which phone do I need?
An iPhone. TORBO is an iOS app.
Which engines do I get?
The app comes with the American 6.2 V8. With a TORBO Node connected you get all seven: German V10 5.2, Italian V10 5.0 Odd-Fire, Italian V12 7.3, German Flat-6 4.0, German I6 3.0 Diesel and Hyper W16 8.0.
When will my Node arrive?
The TORBO Node ships within 60 days of your order.
